If you have a MIDI controller that is currently not natively supported by djay for iOS, you can still use it with djay’s easy-to-use MIDI Learn feature: Simply connect the MIDI controller to your iOS device (see below), and follow the on-screen instructions to map the hardware controls to functions in djay. Numark iDJ Pro users using an Apple iOS device with iOS 8 and djay2, may at times experience difficulty connecting their iDJ Pro to the djay2 app. This is not a hardware-caused symptom and is due to some adjustments that need to be made in the app on iOS.

Algoriddim’s djay software is a great match for the iPad so you’ve got no worries there. You’ve got a few choices nowadays, including the Numark iDJ Pro and the Vestax Spin2, to name just a couple.
