I'm in a huge panic right now because my external HD won't mount! It's a 2TB WD Elements that's about 4'ish years old. It was working fine this morning but just now when I tried mounting it, it was seriously lagging and I thought it was a problem with my laptop so I restarted my system. After rebooting my MBP, my external drive just wouldn't mount at all and I got this error message:
Tuxera NTFS could not mount /dev/disk2s1
at /Volumes/FRANCOIS because the following
problem occured:
Aligned I/O enabled.
CBCIO enabled.

NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a
SoftRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run
chkdsk /f on Windows
then reboot into Windows twice. The usage of the /f
parameter is very important! If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then
first activate
it and mount a different device under the /dev/
mapper/ directory, (e.g.
/dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the
'dmraid' documentation
for more details.
I tried mounting it on Windows but I can't access it AT ALL, I see it as a HD but there's no indication of its size etc and I even got the message error saying it needs reformatting (!!!) suggesting it's practically a blank! I don't know what to do and am near tears now.
Please help! I have a lot of important files and data which I can't afford to lose in this HD and I really would like to recover it if possible!! Thanks!
EDIT: Gah! HELP! I tried mounting it again after a failed attempt at repairing the disk ala DiskUtility and I got these TWO error messages

I checked the volume on Ubuntu Livecd and it's recognized properly and mounted in /mnt/Teranen as it should be. GParted shows the volume correctly as NTFS but in mount it is of type 'fuseblk', but I think this is normal. I'll set it to run badblocks during the night, since it's a 8,5h job. I have Seagate External Hard Drive, which I have been using with Windows computer, but recently I bought a MAC computer, I downloaded NTFS mounter, it was working at first but after I rebooted the computer, my hard drive does not work on neither of my computers.
